Can a system price a drawing without an engineer?
It can extract a costing brief and use approved repeat-job rules. Unclear tolerances, feasibility and new engineering assumptions need specialist review.
Do we have to replace our MRP?
No. First map which system owns materials, revisions and production status, then connect the missing handoffs and acceptance checks.
What happens if a drawing changes after purchasing or cutting starts?
Link the drawing revision to the affected quote, material order and job instructions. Compare what changed and identify work already committed or completed. Route cost, scrap and schedule decisions to the authorised owner before issuing a revised instruction; preserve the previous version and approval history.
Can we start with batch paperwork instead of replacing production planning?
A first scope could join the job reference, approved drawing, inspection status and delivery documents for one product family. Include a partially accepted batch and a rework case. Confirm how those records can be read from your MRP or current files before deciding whether dispatch records can also be updated.
Do we need an ongoing Canvo subscription?
No mandatory Canvo subscription. An agreed implementation includes 12 months of support for the delivered workflows, defects and minor compatibility changes to existing integrations. Optional proactive care and further development are scoped separately. Software, hosting and API costs remain separate.
